Strategic Plan
Description | Contact | Language Services Description In 2004, Dane County Human Services Management Team went through a strategic planning process that included re-evaluating the Department's vision, mission and strategic goals that had last been reviewed in 2001. Using surveys, a focus group and joint meetings the Department sought input and feedback from all staff members, members of our oversight committees, our Purchase of Service (POS) providers, consumers and family members. The end result, revised vision and mission statements and strategic goals and the development of core values. The Department's strategic goals are the priorities that will guide our work over the next 3 to 5 years. In the Spring of each year, every Division develops a work plan, identifying initiatives relative to the Department's strategic goals. This planning process precedes the budget cycle. Work plans have proven to be an effective tool for the Department to communicate its' work, report progress annually, present new initiatives, and preview budget items or issues.
