Public Health Services are available only to those Dane County residents living outside of the City of Madison with the exception of the Seal Dane Program which is County wide. For specific program requirements, please contact the Dental Health Coordinator at (608) 242-6510.

Any application requirements are listed under the specific service.

Services offered include:

Fluoride Supplement Program - In cooperation with the Dane County Dental Society, a free fluoride supplement program is available to Dane County children, ages 6 months to 14 years whose families have well water with low levels of fluoride. Residents in the village of Dane, which does not fluoridate it's public water supply, are also eligible for the fluoride program.

For information or to register for the fluoride program, call (608) 242-6529.

Community Sealant Program - Dental sealant programs for families without dental insurance who find it financially difficult to provide preventive dental care for their children are provided. Programs are held at various times and places throughout the year depending upon availability.

Seal Dane - is a school-based dental sealant program, funded by Meriter Health Services the Meriter Foundation, designed to provide dental sealants to targeted third graders in Madison and Dane County schools who have not received adequate dental care due to financial limitations. Seal Dane provides free dental sealants to eligible children and is designed to also raise parent, teacher, and child awareness of the importance of dental health and the effectiveness of sealants.
