Economic Assistance & Work Services
Wisconsin Works (W-2)
The goal of Wisconsin Works is to provide necessary and appropriate services to prepare individuals to work, and to obtain and maintain viable, self-sustaining employment, which will promote economic growth.
Who May Qualify and How to Apply?
W-2 provides a wide range of employment services and training to help eligible Wisconsin residents get and keep employment. W-2 also provides work experience positions through community service jobs, and other work-readiness placements.
The Wisconsin Works (W-2) program is available to parents of minor children whose family income is below 115% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Each W-2 eligible participant meets with a Financial and Employment Planner (FEP), who helps the individual develop a self-sufficiency plan and determine his or her place on the W-2 employment ladder.
All W-2 appointments must be completed in person, at our main office:
Job Center
1819 Aberg Ave., Suite D
Madison WI 53704
