Services
Badger Prairie Health Care Center provides a comprehensive array of services for residents that are delivered in a person-centered and goal-oriented manner. Our goal is to meet the needs of the whole person, including physical, social, intellectual and spiritual needs. To meet that goal, we provide not only excellent medical care that includes experienced nurses, MD's and psychiatrists who make rounds weekly, but also other services such as dental, optometry, podiatry, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, pastoral care, recreational activity therapy, social services, and highly trained direct care staff. We provide Specialized Services as required under state and federal regulations for residents who are diagnosed with a mental illness or a developmental disability.
The nursing facility has twelve (12) households, each of which provides a distinct program of resident care and services. Four of these households are locked, two serve residents with memory care who require intensive supervision, and two serve adults with severe and persistent mental illness who cannot function in a less restrictive environment. Our other specialties include geriatric psych, persons with dual diagnoses, and persons who have both challenging physical care needs and challenging behaviors. We provide both short-term rehab and long-term care.
